Visit to Quinta Don Bonifácio Winery

Discover the wine process on a sensory journey through vineyards, the factory and an exclusive tasting.

Quinta Don Bonifácio Winery, located in Galópolis, Caxias do Sul, offers, in addition to a retail for the purchase of wines and sparkling wines, several enoturistic attractions such as visitation, tasting and attendance of Wine Garden on Saturdays, from 11am to 17h. All the wines and sparkling wines sold in the winery are prepared with own grapes, from the vineyards covering 60 hectares and include 17 varieties of different grapes. The vineyard is planned to be fully integrated into the surrounding nature, forming a charming landscape where tourists can circulate and enjoy the beauties of a Serra Gaúcha winery.

Visit to the Winery

Visiting is a unique and enriching experience, divided into three main steps:

Coming:

Description: The first stage of the visit leads to the vineyard, where visitors can walk between the vines and learn about the viticulture, the art and the science of the grape cultivation. During this part of the tour, the various varieties of cultivated grapes, sustainable management practices, the growth cycle of vines and how the terroir (soil, climate and topography) influences the quality of the grapes.
Objective: Provide an in-depth understanding of how grapes are grown and prepared for the production of high quality wines.
 

Factory:

Description: The second stage of the visit occurs in the factory, where visitors have the opportunity to know the process of wine production, known as enology. Each phase of production is explained, from the harvesting and crushing of the grapes, through fermentation, to aging in oak barrels. Visitors can see the installations and equipment used in the vinification.
Objective: Show how grapes are transformed into wine, highlighting the oenological techniques that guarantee the excellence of the products.

Tasting:

Description: The visit ends with a tasting of at least five wine labels produced. This is the perfect opportunity for visitors to appreciate the diversity and quality of the wines, learning to identify the different aromas, flavors and characteristics of each label.
Objective: Provide a complete and educational sensory experience, allowing visitors to appreciate and better understand the wines produced.
